We've entered the month of November, but the aftermath of October continues to shape our headlines. As fans of Jujitsu Kaisen reach day 50 in their countdown for the highly anticipated movie, events which were set into motion weeks ago still exert their influence in the animeverse today. Ranking of Kings has managed to climb its way into the top cut of popularity polls and World's Finest Assassin is also garnering itself a notable fanbase. It is against this setting that budding new anime have to compete for a slot in the headlines, bringing us straight to November's first Rapid Rundown:

1. Spy X Family Making Waves!
Announced on October the 31st, news of the Spy x Family anime was recieved with great positivity and hype, particularly since news of the event had been floating around unofficial sources for a while prior. WIT Studio and Cloverworks will be in charge of producing the anime, further compounding expectations from the title. The news was first made public on the official Twitter with the concomitant release of two key visuals and a trailer (see here). A special Halloween-themed follow-up post marked the release of 55 chapters and celebrated the news of the anime, wrapping up the event and giving the world plenty to look forward to from 2022.
Evidently, this news made a bigger impact than anyone could imagine; within the 24 hours following the initial announcement, the hashtag "#spy_family" had been tweeted in excess of 113,000 times! A bit of context can help put these figures into perspective: Tatsuya Endo begun the series in March of 2019, following which it saw serialization on Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ app & website, meaning that the series has effectively had almosy three years to build up a following. In fact, it was after Tatsuya's post thanking the fans for congratulating him that the tweet statistics really skyrocketed.
Whatever the cause, if the figures are anything to go by, Spy x Family is a definite contender for the most anticipated title in 2022.
2. Tomodachi Game Gets TV Anime!
The dawn of November kickstarted a new chapter for the Tomodachi Game franchise. It started with the establishment of an official Twitter account for the series, followed shortly by the announcement for the anime adaptation set for April of 2022. The manga by Yamaguchi and Satou has been running from 2013 and has spawned a live-action series and two live-action films to boot; all of which hit screens in 2017. The synopsis for the anime, as given by Anime Corner News is as follows:
"Katagiri Yuichi believes that friends are more important than money, but he also knows the hardships of not having enough funds. He works hard to save up in order to go on the high school trip, because he has promised his four best friends that they will all go together. However, after the class’s money is all collected, it is stolen! Suspicion falls on two of Yuichi’s friends, Sawaragi Shiho and Shibe Makoto. Soon afterward, the five of them are kidnapped, and wake up in a strange room with a character from a short-lived anime. Apparently, one of them has entered them into a “friendship game” in order to take care of their massive debt. But who was it, and why did they have such a debt? Could they have stolen the money from class to pay for entry into the game?"
3. World Heroes' Mission Shakes the World!
Landing in cinemas on October the 29th, the third Boku no Hero Academia movie made its debut with eye-opening success, ranking in at #2 in the US, according to Box Office Mojo. Within its first 24 hours of release, the had movie already raked in over $2.8 million, a number equal to its earnings after 10 days in the Japanese cinemas, giving us a clear insight into which demographic the movie most appeals to. Nevertheless, World Heroes' Mission marks the latest addition to the franchise and shows us a clear upward growth in the success of the MHA franchise, overtaking the $2.5 million and $1.4 million day one earnings made by the second and first movies, respectively. Hilariously, entrees were gifted an exclusive 76-page booklet filled with character designs, manga panels... and spoilers for the very movie they were gonna watch. We don't need to tell you how that worked out.
Fast forward a week, however, and the numbers have grown even more staggering. With $6.6 million to its name at the end of the opening weekend, the total revenue earned by the third movie currently stands at a whopping $35 million in the worldwide box office! News of a Blu-ray is nowhere to be found, but for a movie as successful as this one, we'll bet it's no more than a few months away. Funimation gives the following synopsis for World Heroes' Mission:
"When a sinister organization threatens to wipe out all superhuman powers, the fate of the world is on the line. With two hours until the collapse of civilization, Deku, Bakugo, and Todoroki manage to work as a team, but there’s still one problem. Deku’s on the run for murder."
