Gintama Manga Finale Adapted Into Gintama The Final Anime Film

A new visual for the new anime film of Hideaki Sorachi's Gintama manga - Gintama The Final - was released on its official website. The visual was drawn by Sorachi and includes 34 characters from the manga along with a tagline that reads, "Bye bye, Gin-san". Additionally, the website has confirmed that the film will be based on the finale of the original manga mixed with certain new developments. 

Billed as, "the finale, for real this time", the film will open in Japan on January 8th, 2021. 

The manga is also inspiring a new netbankme special with a story that will be linked to the film. It will premiere exclusively in Japan on the online dTV service in, as mentioned, "early 2021". 

GINTAMA : MANGA DETAILS 


The innovative blend of science fiction period-drama comedy in the form of Sorachi's Gintama began in 2003 and ended in June 2019 with over 55 million copies in circulation. The manga has inspired several anime series with around 367 total episodes. The latest addition to the television anime series premiered in July 2018.
