CONTEST INFORMATION
Adilsons Anime Merch contest is mostly a fun and interactive contest to let the fan base showcase their anime merch or be creative with any of their mech as long as it is anime related.
It could be about your anime merch or manga, cosplaying a funny scene, recreating an anime scene with your friends etc...
Show off your skills when you put your favourite anime merch to the ultimate soundtrack or the most mind blowing edits! Let these bring as much joy or envy to the audience…or maybe both! Whether it’s heartbreaking small stories or fierce action through stop motion clips, wow us with your technical know-how and artistic talent.

Open for all age groups and all nationalities.
The anime clips should be a maximum of 1 min in length but there are no limits in the amount of submissions. One idea could be to split your video into multiple parts and submit them separately. Push your creativity to the limits.
Videos must be created by the contestant. Any confirmed plagiarism may result in disqualification from this contest.
Videos should have creator identification (Name and Surname or the alias/username of the creator) watermark (logo) at bottom right corner of the video along with the logo of Adilsons which should also be edited at the bottom right of the video. It is extremely important that the video has the name of the creator implemented on the edit.
The Video file should also be named accordingly with the creator identification used as a watermark at the upper right or left corner of the edit. For example: “John.Willson.MP4.” It is extremely important that the file is named with the name of the creator.
All clips used must be from sources the user has obtained legally. Any indication that the material was obtained from other sources will be grounds for disqualification..
You can now tell us the hashtags and caption to put in the post upon submission.
The winners will get vouchers at Adilsons based on the number of participants:

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I SUBMIT MY ENTRIES?
Adilsons Anime Edit contest April edition will end on 31st August 2021. On 1st September we will announce the winners. Based on this data we will see whether we will roll it into a monthly contest.
STEP 1
The edits will be posted on Adilsons Tiktok account on a daily basis. However, we will post up to 10 videos maximum on a daily basis. If we reach the limit, then we will schedule it for the next day. This means that your videos will be in a queue until it gets posted.
STEP 2
The winners shall be announced by the end of the month based on the amounts of likes on the videos
STEP 3
The top 3 will be selected and the winners announced.
HOW WINNERS WILL BE DECIDED?
This is a popular contest based on the number of likes they receive during the contest. The cut off will be each end of the month at 9pm.
Terms and conditions for Adilsons Merch contest
⦁ The participants of Adilsons Anime Merch contest are expected to create their own original Edit and submit the videos to the contest but no hentai or other 18+ videos. We advise the participants to read about the terms and conditions of copyright on contents they are using. Such is often an issue with Anime Edits. We advise participants to create their own content and to use edited tracks or copyright free content from youtube or any similar platform. Plagiarism will lead to disqualification.
⦁ We sincerely request all parents to allow the children to do their edits on their own and not assist the children in any way.
All submissions must be kid-friendly; hentai and other content which may violate this standard shall be ineligible for entry in the tournament. The following points must be strictly adhered to:
-no genitalia can appear in the artwork, however indirectly
~breasts, if present, must be adequately (at least 50%) covered and nipples must be absent from view
~no overly suggestive sexual poses shall be tolerated
~bikinis must not reveal any impressions of covered body parts
While these points are not exhaustive, a rudimentary sense of discretion is expected from all submissions.
⦁ The Anime Merch Edits of the top 10 winners will be posted on Adilsons' other platform with shoutouts.
⦁ Participants should write their full and correct name in the contest form, as this name will appear in the certificates in case of winning.

Advice to participants:
⦁ Please do not message us without allowing a couple of days for us to post your videos. Note that the anime edit contest is run by a different team than those managing our Instagram/Facebook account. So, in case you need to contact us for the anime edit contest, WhatsApp us here: +230 5 913 53 74.
⦁ Our logo should be bottom right. Your logo or username should be bottom left. Both should be discreet. Do not put them in big.
⦁ Do not mention Adilsons Anime Merch Contest in the video. Your videos will be viewed by an international audience, you need to put content that will make them watch your videos and like them. In the comment section, you can refer to the anime edit
⦁ Your titles should be optimized so that when people search, they can go to your video. If the clip is about Naruto fighting pain, well put the Title Naruto vs Pain. Give it a proper title so that it increases your chance that people search your video and land on it.
⦁ Do not forget to submit your work with the correct naming format: ''Your name. The Title of your video'' this part is very important for the proper sorting of the submissions. For me, it would be: Ashfaq Ramjaun Naruto vs Pain
⦁ The hashtags and caption is important as it gives you an additional tool to make your videos being pushed to more audience.

Adilsons Anime Edit contest is mostly a fun and interactive contest to let the fan base express their talent and passion in the form of a carefully pieced together short animated music video with effects.
Your clips can be from anything as long as it's anime related. It could be about your anime merch or manga, cosplaying a funny scene, recreating an anime scene with your friends etc or it can be like a traditional anime edit like the April 2021 contest.
Show off your skills when you put your favorite video games and anime to the ultimate soundtrack! Let these two media combine into a beautiful Anime Edit that can move audiences to laughter or tears…or maybe both! Whether it’s heartbreaking dramas or fierce action, wow us with your technical know-how and artistic talent.
ANIME EDIT CONTEST RULES:

The Anime Edit contest clips should be between 9-15 sec. Any more or less, will be considered as an invalid submission.
The Anime edit contest clips can also include any intro or outro but both combined should be maximum 1 second included in the 9-15 seconds’ clip.

Advice to participants:
- The new TikTok algorithm seems to favor short videos which have a high watch time. However, it’s too short, TikTok won't also push it forward. Keep it 9 to 15 seconds MAXIMUM. While the condition for winning stays the same = most likes. You need to have a hook in your video, to entice people to keep watching till the end. Videos with a high watch time are pushed to a wider audience, which in turn helps to get more views and more likes, which will help you win. By the way, those tips, you can apply on your Tik Tok account to test them out

Adilsons drawing contest is a unique drawing competition designed to encourage creative expression open to all ages

Shortlist and other benefits
- A shortlist will be declared from among the drawing competition entries. All the shortlisted participants will be required to send the original artwork to us.
- The final round of judging will involve evaluation of all the shortlisted artworks. Based on this evaluation, we will declare honorable mentions and any other prizes as applicable. Select artworks from this group will be showcased from time to time in special online as well as video presentations. The original artworks which are shortlisted and sent to us will be retained and will become the property of Adilsons.
- A dedicated web page will be created for all shortlisted participants who send the original artworks.
- An online exhibition of all shortlisted artworks will be hosted on Facebook and Instagram.

For whom is this
This contest by Adilsons is aimed at encouraging otakus and weebs whether it is child art, child artists, student artists, young artists, youth art, art students as well as elders including senior citizens to express their passion of anime and manga through art.
What are the different age groups?
There is no age group currently. The only groups would be the different categories of the contest.
What is the size of the artwork?
Your artwork needs to be in :
- A4 (21 x 29.7 centimeters or 8.27 x 11.69 inches)
However, the scanned upload should not exceed 10MB.
Which medium can be used for the drawing?
You can use regular pencils, coloured pencils, graphite pencils, charcoal, crayons, sketch pens, ink pens. The drawing, sketch can be done on any paper - it could be the regular office stationery paper or drawing paper or any other surface suitable for drawing or painting. You can also use a canvas. If you use a canvas, please ensure that you leave a margin of 2 inches on all sides for stretching.
How to submit your entry to the Adilsons drawing contest?

This means that you will submit a scanned image or a good quality picture of your artwork not greater than 10MB along with all the relevant details such as the category you participated, your full name, contact details.
If you are participating in more than 1 category, make each time a separate submission. Remember only 1 submission per category is allowed.
Please do not send your original artworks to us, unless we ask for it.
How many entries can I submit to this competition?
Each participant can submit a maximum of 1 entry at a time per category.
What happens after I submit my entries?
Adilsons drawing contest ends on 28 March 2021 at 9pm (Mauritian Time)
Step 1
Your art work will be published on Adilsons_Otaku Instagram Stories for a first round of voting by the general public from the 30th March to 6th April (this would depend on the number of entries we received).
Step 2
Shortlisted artwork will be published on the 7th April on our social media platforms. The jury will deliberate and the winner’s announcement will be made on the 10th April 2021.
Step 3
Short listed artworks of participants will have to be sent to Adilsons by latest 17th of April.
All participants and winners will be able to collect their certificates and prizes as from 17 April 2021 while bringing their original drawing.
Terms and conditions for Adilsons online drawing contest
- All entries submitted during the course of this contest must be original works of art created by the same party entering them for submission. Submissions of plagiarized content shall be considered invalid and will constitute grounds for disqualification from all categories of the tournament. Adilsons encourages creative expression and originality and shall not tolerate acts of "rebranding" or alteration, in any shape or form, of existing copyrighted content.
- Adilsons reserves the right to cancel and/or invalidate any entry at any point during and after the contest period; if such a decision is made, the party assuming ownership of such work shall face immediate disqualification and shall be illegible for entry in any further competitions hosted by Adilsons.
- Parents and guardians of children participating in the competition are requested not to provide any assistance outside of the provision of raw material; such standards encourage honesty and build character.
- All submissions must be kid-friendly; hentai and other content which may violate this standard shall be illegible for entry in the tournament. The following points must be strictly adhered to:

While these points are not exhaustive, a rudimentary sense of discretion is expected from all submissions. - The judging panel shall preside over the evaluation and shortlisting of all the submissions. Their decisions shall be final and binding; in entering this event, all participants agree to respect and adhere to the decisions made by the panel. Attempts to challenge any decision made by the jury shall constitute grounds for disqualification.
- Following the process of shortlisting, all artworks categorized as such must be physically sent to Adilsons within a specified period of time which shall come into effect following the end of the national lockdown. All parties whose artwork has been shortlisted shall be intimated of this decision; failure to submit the original artwork to Adilsons until/before the specified deadline will invalidate the entry for further assessment.
- All works of art surrendered to Adilsons under the shortlisting period shall become the intellectual property of Adilsons and will be retained indefinitely. Adilsons claims the right to use such submitted articles for the purpose of exhibitions, promotions, training, research, commercial ventures, advertising, and any other role they see fit.
- Adilsons will promote all shortlisted artworks on its social media platforms and will be in charge of managing a dedicated web page for each shortlisted participant who submitted the original artwork.
- The winners of each category will have their drawing displayed at the shop which will be available for sale. Any proceeds obtained from those sales will be given to the authors.
- Each participant in the drawing contest shall be eligible to receive a Certificate of Participation, which they shall have the liberty to collect in person at our store (on 20 Harris Street, Port Louis).
- Participants should write their full, legal name in the contest form, as this will appear in all certificates and accreditations which may follow.

How to win?
The post with the most engagement will now be considered the winner of the month.
Engagement is not just defined as most likes. The number of comments in a post holds most weight, followed by the number of reactions (includes reactions in the comment section) in the post.
What to win?
An anime merchandise will be offered to the winner. Announcement will be made in the 1st week after the end of the monthly tournament.
